Elk City Varsity Elks Grabs Lead in Fourth Inning to Defeat Shattuck Indians

Elk City Varsity Elks defeated Shattuck Indians 11-7 on Saturday after taking the lead late in the game. Elk City Varsity Elks trailed 6-5 in the bottom of the fourth inning when Aiden Hopper homered on a 3-1 count, scoring three runs.

Elk City Varsity Elks collected ten hits and Shattuck Indians had seven in the high-scoring affair.

Shattuck Indians got on the board in the first inning when W Pahner tripled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.

Elk City Varsity Elks pulled away for good with four runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Collin Church drew a walk, scoring one run.

Cooper Church toed the rubber for Elk City Varsity Elks. The pitcher allowed five hits and six runs over four innings, striking out seven and walking one.

B Whipple led things off on the hill for Shattuck Indians. Whipple surrendered six runs on eight hits over three and twothirds innings, striking out eight. D Taylor, Pahner, and C Sehilling each contributed in relief for Shattuck Indians.

Elk City Varsity Elks launched one home run on the day. Hopper had a long ball in the fourth inning.
