Ivory ‘N Ovations piano classes presented fifteen beginning piano students performing for their families on May 16 and May 18. They played solos, an ensemble piece and an improvisation piece. The students are learning the basics of good hand and finger technique at the piano, as well as beginning theory, rhythm, expression, improvisation and note-reading. The piano class consists of 7 full-sized keyboards, and a modern lab system which allows the teacher to hear individual students or several students at a time.
Congratulations to the students on their hard work over the 2023 spring semester. Mrs. Headrick would like to thank the parents of these students for support and encouragement to their students. These classes meet on Tuesday or Thursday and are 45 minutes in length. “At the piano” activities as well as “away from the piano” games make this group experience somethingstudentslookforwardto.
