A 35-year-old Sayre man was charged with assault and battery after the Sayre Police Department received a report of al alleged assault.
The investigation began at approximately 7:10 pm on May 6 when the SPD had a person walk in to the department to make a report.
The alleged victim stated that Christopher Sides had “ran to his driver’s side window and began to punch him in the face.”
The alleged victim reportedly informed his employer of the in incident, and the employer demanded that he file a police report.
A reported witness was also willing to give a statement to corroborate.
The alleged victim also reportedly had several red cuts across his face, which were photographed by police.
The officer attempted to reach Sides the following day, but was unable to contact him.
An arrest warrant has been issued for his arrest.
