Congressman Frank Lucas Visits SWOSU

Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) with locations in Weatherford, Sayre, and Yukon recently hosted United States Congressman Frank D. Lucas for a visit.

Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) with locations in Weatherford, Sayre, and Yukon recently hosted United States Congressman Frank D. Lucas for a visit.

A Cheyenne, Oklahoma farmer and rancher, Lucas represents the 32 counties of Oklahoma’s Third Congressional District in the United States House of Representatives. He currently serves as Chairman of the House Committee on Science, Space, & Technology.

“SWOSU has a long history of productive collaboration with our federal delegation and we value tremendously our deeply-rooted relationship with Congressman Frank Lucas,” said SWOSU President Dr. Diana R. “Diane” Lovell.

During his time at SWOSU Lucas engaged with SWOSU faculty and students in the SWOSU Departments of Engineering Technology and Computer Sciences.

“I am very proud to be SWOSU’s representative in Congress,” Lucas said. “SWOSU’s programs in Engineering Tech and Computer Sciences are helping meet Oklahoma’s critical occupation needs in the aerospace and defense and other industries.”
