Sayre Eagles lose to Hollis

Sayre Eagles fell behind early and couldn’t come back in an 8-0 loss to Hollis Tigers Varsity on Tuesday.

Sayre Eagles fell behind early and couldn’t come back in an 8-0 loss to Hollis Tigers Varsity on Tuesday.

The Sayre Eagles struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Hollis Tigers Varsity, giving up eight runs.

Hollis Tigers Varsity opened up scoring in the first inning. Kaden Rollins drew a walk, scoring one run.

A single by Tynan Gillespie in the second inning was a positive for Sayre Eagles.

Sebastian Duran toed the rubber for Hollis Tigers Varsity. The lefty went three innings, allowing zero runs on two hits and striking out four.

Juan Galavez was on the hill for Sayre Eagles. Galavez went two and a third innings, allowing five runs on three hits and striking out two. Lawson Simpson threw one and two-thirds innings in relief.

Gillespie, Hunter Hanrahan, Rocky Willis, and KK Beard each hammered one hit to lead Sayre Eagles.
