Washita Chapter NSDAR met March 13, 2023 at the Stafford Space Museum with the Regent, Kay Hagerman, opening with the assist of Chaplin, Judy Tracy. The group recited The Pledge of Allegiance, The American Creed The Preamble to the Constitution , Oklahoma Flag Salute and sang a Patriotic Song.
The oath of membership was administered to new member Vera Williamson and she was received her DAR pin from the Regent.
Officersgavereports: Doris Minor announced the National Vietnam Memorial Veteran’s Day observance that will be held on March 29th at the Flag Pole at the Roger Mills Courthouse in Cheyenne at 11:00a.m. MarciGrantnoted that the date for the dedication of the American 250 Patriot Marker will be on June 17, 2023 at the Stafford Museum where it has been installed.
Two members are participating in the Patriot Records Project, Lu Eisler and Doris Minor, and are presently working on the certification of Revolutionary War Records from Rhode Island. They are to be commended for the perseverance, patience and skill in this project.
Plans are underway for the celebration of the chapters 80th anniversary to be held in April. The meeting was close with The Daughter’s Pledge.
The group toured the Stafford Museum .
