Elk City man jailed for kidnapping

A 25-year-old Elk City man is being held in the Beckham County Detention Center after being charged with kidnapping, domestic assault and threatening to perform violence.

Elk City Police were called to a home on the 600 block of North Howard Avenue at 11:32 pm on March 1.

The caller reportedly stated that a man at the location had “pushed her, choked her, threatened to shoot her, and refused to let her leave.”

The police report also states that the man did have a 9mm handgun in the house. The man was identified as Bryson Don Frost. Upon arrival, the police saw a female subject, the alleged victim, sitting outside in a Jeep.

Frost had allegedly left the scene after reportedly learning she had called law enforcement.

The alleged victim stated that she had been “hanging out” with Frost, his brother and another friend when Frost allegedly became angry over a joke.

Th ewomanstatedthatshe and Frost had previously been romantically involved, but were not currently.

Frost allegedly threatened to shoot her in the head in front of everyone and tell police she had been trying to break into the house.

The woman alleged he then grabbed and squeezed her face, placed his hands around her throat and pushed her down on the bed before standing in the doorway and refusing to let her leave.

The woman reportedly claimed Frost threatened multiple times to shoot her.

The officer noted that he didn’t see any physical signs of trauma.
