The Sayre High School Baseball team kicked off their 2025 season last week with five games in five days.
The Eagles are now at a 3-2 record.
Although those numbers seem split, the losses for the most part have been close.
Several individual players and the team as a whole show promise.
The Eagles lost the season opener 12-14 to the Hamlin Pied Pipers on March 6.
The boys turned around that same day and earned the season’s first win with a 5-3 victory over the Granite Panthers.
The Eagles had a sweeping 14-6 victory over Mooreland on March 10, but then suffered a 1-6 loss from the Arapaho-Butler Indians that same day.
The loss clearly motivated the Eagles.
On March 11, they brought out the big bats in a 13-2 victory over the Burns Flat-Dill City Eagles.
