SWOSU Honors Students at Distinguished Student Award Ceremony

Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) celebrated the achievements of 147 students on Sunday, Feb. 23, at the 2024–25 Distinguished Student Award Ceremony.

This honor recognizes students who have excelled academically, demonstrated leadership in extracurricular activities, and made meaningful contributions to their communities. Undergraduate students are eligible for this award if their grade point average is in the top 20 percent of seniors within each college. Graduate students are eligible to be selected if they have completed 15 graduate hours at SWOSU, are currently enrolled, and have an “A” average in at least 15 credit hours. Campus nominating committees select students from the lists of eligible students as the embodiment of the dedication and success that defines SWOSU.

The Distinguished Student Award is one of SWOSU’s highest honors, and the event provides an opportunity for the students’ accomplishments to be recognized.
