Big congratulations go out to the Bearcats who took home the Regional Consolation trophy this past Monday afternoon! Again, I am not sure of what the outcome will be at the Area tournament before this paper comes out on Saturday, but here is hoping they rolled past the teams before this is out Saturday, 3/1.
Sympathy is extended to the family of Joy Francis, wife of George Francis. Graveside services were held on 2/28 in Gilmer, TX.
Our thoughts are also with the family of Ray Stroud. He was a member of the 1964 Class I was told. No details were given about the service at the time of this column.
The City of Erick and Roger Miller Senior Citizen Center, in conjunction with SWODA, have been awarded funds to provide meals twice weekly to individuals aged 60+ or handicapped/disabled persons. The cost is $3.00 per participant and will be available for pick up or delivery on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Meals will be served by Main Street Bakery and Cafe.
