Erick Ramblings

Can you believe this Oklahoma weather?! Single digit temperatures last week and now upper 60’s and low 70’s!

The Erick FFA Labor Auction has been moved to Tuesday, March 4th due to the inclement weather we had this past week. It will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the Erick High School Cafeteria. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for students.

Children 5 and under are free. Students will be available to the highest bidder and the buyer will receive 8 hours of labor fromthestudent. Asaside note, this labor auction is the biggest fundraiser for the chapter and goes towards classroom, shop, and contest supplies. It also helps with hotel and convention fees among other items for the students.

Congratulations to the Erick Bearcats, as they were District Champions, but I do not know the outcome of Thursday-today’s games due to this being sent out the Tuesday before, (2/18). Hopefully, their winning streak continues!

The City of Erick and Roger Miller Senior Citizen Center, in conjunction with SWODA, have been awarded funds to provide meals twice weekly to individuals aged 60+ or handicapped/ disabled persons.

The cost is $3.00 per participant and will be available for pick up or delivery on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Meals will be served by Main Street Bakery and Cafe. For more information, contact Eric City Hall.

Anniversary wishes are being sent to Darrell & Becky Shedd and to Kemper & Marty Woolsey, with both celebrating on 2/24, and to William and Autumn Billingsley on 2/28.
