Elk City Varsity Elks earned a resounding victory over Mount Saint Mary 8-1 on Friday without ever putting up a big number.

Sayre Eagles Alex Yake, Braedyn Richardson, Camdyn Richardson, and Lucien Zapraziecz won 6th place at State in the spring relay.

Elk City Varsity Elks earned a resounding victory over Mount Saint Mary 8-1 on Friday without ever putting up a big number.

Mount Saint Mary got things moving in the first inning. Shropshere singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

Elk City Varsity Elks evened things up at one in the bottom of the first inning. Elk City Varsity Elks scored one run when Aiden Hopper doubled.

Elk City Varsity Elks pulled away for good with two runs in the third inning. In the third Hopper doubled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run and Catch Geno doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Geno earned the win for Elk City Varsity Elks. Geno surrendered one run on three hits over seven innings, striking out eight and walking one.

Kuklnski took the loss for Mount Saint Mary. The bulldog surrendered one run on two hits over one and one-third innings, striking out two and walking zero.

Lynch started the game for Mount Saint Mary. Lynch surrendered seven runs on six hits over four and two-thirds innings, striking out six Elk City Varsity Elks totaled eight hits. Cale Poole, Geno, and Hopper each managed multiple hits for Elk City Varsity Elks. Hopper, Geno, and Poole each managed two hits to lead Elk City Varsity Elks.
