A 24-year-old Granite man is being held in the Beckham County Detention Center for one count of assault and battery with a deadly weapon on a $22,500 bond. Samuel Herman Pence was arrested after being charged. The investigation began on November 15, 2024, after the Oklahoma Highway Patrol went on a manhunt for an allegedly stolen Chrysler that had wrecked.
The suspect then allegedly stole another vehicle. Pence was identified.
Due to his high-speeds and allegedly swiping OHP officers with his vehicle, he has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon.
