Elk City Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) along with the rest of the state’s FCA Huddles, will be pulling together in the support of the Robinson Family. They are calling all FCA Huddles in the State of Oklahoma, along with other FCA teammates, to unite through fasting, praying, and blessing the family of Coach Will Robinson, Durant, and his daughter, Clara.
The Robinson family had a car accident on Christmas Eve near Sherman, Texas. According to “The Oklahoman,” the Durant family of six were traveling on U.S. Highway 75 from Oklahoma to McKenny, Texas, in heavy rain when their car hydroplaned. They went into a flooded drainage ditch and were swept away.

Will fought to save his eightyear- old daughter, but he succumbed to the flood waters and lost his life. It seemed as though the father had the child in his arms at one time, but later they were not seen together. The search is still on for the child.
The FCA Huddles are asking that each huddle spend time in their individual Huddle meetings during the month of January. They will be learning about fasting. Then in February the meetings will be a fast instead of food to pray for the Robinson family. In place of food, each person will bring money they would have spent on a meal to bless the family.
The money raised during this time will be sent to the benefit account for Kristen Robinson at First United Bank of Durant, located at 1400 W. Main St., Durant, Ok 73471.
The Elk City FCA, under the leadership of Coach Jim Taylor, will be participating in this project. Contact Taylor at Elk City Middle School for additional information about supporting this family with donations or prayers.
