Upon the beginning of a new year, Western Technology Center has published their new adult classes on the Burns Flat, Weatherford, Elk City, and Hobart campuses. To enroll, scan the QR Code to go to the website.
The Burns Flat campus is located at 621 Sooner Drive, and the phone number is 580-5624632. The classes that will be offered this year include the Adult Basic Education classes that have open enrollment and are free of charge. They meet Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and they will end during the summer months; and the Truck Driving School is a six weeks course that meets Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and it is an open enrollment. Stained Glass class takes place Tuesday evenings from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and starts Jan. 7th, and runs through Feb. 25th. The cost for the course is $99. Another crafting class Is Piece Quilting that will also be on Tuesdays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., and begins Jan.7th, and ends Feb. 25th. The cost of the class is $69.
Firefighter Exterior Offensive Fire Attach Class is free. It is a one-day class that takes place on Jan. 11th. Another class is called Scratch Pizza Crust that will be Mondays from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and it is a one-day class on Jan. 13th. The cost is $35 that will be paid to the instructor. The other class that will be offered is the SafelandUSA Orientation, H2S Clear and/or a MEDIC First Aid class and those interested must call the campus to be added to a list.
The Weatherford campus will also offer Adult Basic Education Classes on Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the English as Second Language classes will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Clinton Library on Mondays and Tuesdays. They will be closed during the summer months. The classes are free and enrollment is open-ended. The Hybrid Advanced EMT class will begin Jan 8t, and run through July 2nd, and takes place Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The cost is $970 to attend.
The Advanced Medication Aide-IA (Insulation Administration) will start Jan. 15th, and ends Jan 16th, and takes place from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The cost for this class is $125. Certified Medication Aide Update will take place on Jan. 17th, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $45, and participants will receive eight hours of CEU from the Ok Dept. of Health.
Certified Nurse’s Aide Night class will take place Monday, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, beginning Jan. 27th, and ending on March 25th, they will also be offering the SafelandUSA Orientation, H25 Clear and /or a MEDIC First Aid Class. The Elk City Campus, located at 301 Western Dr., can be contacted at 580225-4982. They will be offering the Adult Basic Education classes for free, with open enrollment. The ABE class takesw place Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9 a.m. to noon, and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The class will close over the summer months.
Certified Nurses Aide meets Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and begins Jan. 13th, and ends on Feb. 5th. The cost for this class is $450. The Certified Nurses Aide Night Class will take place Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The cost is $450.
The EMT Refresher Class takes place on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and begins Jan. 25th, and ends on Feb.15th.

The Hobart Campus is located at 1000 S. Bailey, and the phone number is 450-726-8400. The ABE class is free and takes place on Mondays and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Enrollment is open and will close during the summer months.
The Medication Aide Technetium Update will take place on Wednesday, Jan 8th, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the cost is $45. The Advanced Medication Aide-IA is $125, and will be Wed. and Thurs. from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., beginning Jan. 15th and end Jan. 16th.
