As more inclement weather is about to fall upon the area, both Beckham County and Roger Mills County have been in mourning for a mother and a young Sayre man killed in a vehicle collision last week.
The accident reportedly occurred on January 5 at approximately 5:16 am south of Cheyenne.
Vehicle 1 was a Ford F-350 driven by 59-year-old Rene De La Cruz.
The driver was treated for serious injuries but was released.
The passenger, Thomas J. Stampul, a 24-year-old Sayre man was pronounced dead on the scene.
The driver of Vehicle 2, 39-year-old Misti Morris of Cheyenne, was also pronounced dead at the scene.
Berlin Fire Department made both pronouncements.
The collision reportedly occurred when Vehicle 1 fishtailed into the second vehicle.
