For several years, the Oklahoma Department of Education has issued a report card similar to what students receive based upon measurements that the State Board decides.
The metrics focus on academic achievement, growth, attendance and benchmarks, retention, drop-out rates, graduation rates, and post-secondary readiness.
The ODE, though, says that citizens should not base their opinion on a school on these report cards alone.
Sweetwater High School came in with the lone A for the Beckham County Schools.
Their elementary received a C.
Merritt Schools received B’s for both high school and elementary.
Sayre received C’s for the high school, middle school and elementary.
Elk City received C’s in high school, elementary, and intermediate.
The EPS middle school received a B in middle school.
Erick Elementary received a B while their high school received a C.
