The Sayre School Board met last Monday at 6 pm.
The consent agenda was approved with no dissent.
Superintendent Dee Wilhelm gave his monthly review, which included thanking Michael Spieker for his service to the students of Sayre after choosing not to run for his school board seat again.
“He will be missed and appreciated for what he has done,” Wilhelm said.
Chris Keahey has filed for that open seat and will take the seat in April.
James Edwards also filed to fill an unexpired seat.
Wilhelm also thanked the board for giving a staff stipend for the holidays, noting that it was “very appreciated.”
The staff will come back on January 6 after the holiday.
The board approval for converting all route buses to CNG will save money and also support local businesses.
