Beckham County Clerk Leasa Hartman retiring after 28 years of Service

Leasa Hartman began her career with Beckham County in July of 1996, under then Clerk Elena Roper. During her 14 years as a Deputy, she served under 3 Clerk’s including Elena Roper, Clydene Manning, and Ginger Pope. She became familiar and worked in every aspect of the Beckham County Clerk’s Office, including Land Records, Human Resources, and Purchasing, working her way up to becoming First Deputy in the Office.

Leasa was appointed as the Beckham County Clerk early spring 2010 upon the retirement of her predecessor Ginger Pope, and she has served as the County Clerk in the 14 years following. During her time as Clerk, she has overseen many changes including a shift in technology and the process of digitizing historical records and modernization of the Office as a whole, and instituting policies and procedures to ensure smooth operation of meetings, and communication within and between different Offices of the County Government.

After 28 years of dedicated service to Beckham County, Leasa will be retiring at the end of her elected term December 31st, 2024. Family and co-workers will be holding a retirement party on December 10, 2024, in the 3rd Floor Courtroom at the Beckham County Courthouse in Sayre as a come and go celebration of her service between the hours of 1 and 3 in the afternoon.
