Elk City man held in the Beckham County Detention Center on $15,000 bond

A 51-year-old Elk City man is being held in the Beckham County Detention Center on one count of violation of the Sex Offender Registry Act.

The investigation began on November 5 when the Elk City Police Department received a report of assault reportedly occurring on the 700 block of North Booth.

The reporting party allegedly stated that she had been living with her boyfriend, identified as Keith Thunderbull, at the residence. Through the investigation, the ECPD detective learned that Thunderbull had been released from the Oklahoma Department of Corrections on June 5, 2023, and began registering as a Level 3 Sex Offender to the state of Oklahoma and the Elk City Police Department.

Through Thunderbull’s address verification forms, he had allegedly claimed that he had no other occupants living with him.

The detective was reportedly able to find evidence that the reporting party, Thunderbull’s girlfriend, had lived in the residence.

Because of this, the detective charged Thunderbull with a felony for providing false or misleading information registration information.
