The Sayre Chapter of Business Professionals of America at Western Technology Center has been busy raising money for Special Olympics through a state-wide community service project entitled “Chain of Love”. This project, which supports the Oklahoma Chapter of Special Olympics, culminated at the Business Professionals of America (BPA) State Leadership Conference in Norman, OK, on October 21, 2024, with the presentation to Western Technology Center, Sayre campus, for raising the most money of any chapter in the statewide project. Students raised $2800 to donate to Special Olympics. Oklahoma BPA through the “Chain of Love” project has contributed over $40,000 over the past three years. Approximately 2,000 high school, middle school, and post-secondary students attended the Fall Leadership Conference.
The Sayre BPA chapter collected donations raising $2800. Mrs. Susanne Silk, local advisor for the Sayre BPA Chapter, says “I am so proud of all the students who worked so hard in collecting donations. The Business Professionals of America would like to thank the people in our community that donated to this worthy cause!
