Dust Bowl Days Farm and Ranch Festival Board announces the Inaugural Cattlemen’s Ball

The Dust Bowl Days Farm and Ranch Festival was an idea of a few locals approximately five years ago to bring a fun weekend to Sayre while also celebrating the area’s roots in agriculture.

Several members of the board grew up in the area, knowing the stories of the struggles of the early settlers who endured droughts and hardships to make western Oklahoma home.

Each year, the group has added new events to help support the annual summer festival.

This week, they announced that they are holding the first-ever Inaugural Cattlemen’s Ball.

The theme is “Honoring the Rich Heritage of the Cattle Industry and its Impact on Life in Western Oklahoma and the Eastern Texas Panhandle.”

The event will be held on Saturday, November 16, at the Beckham County Activity Center in Sayre.

The meal will begin at 6 pm and feature western icon Boots O’Neal.

At 8 p.m., a western dance will be held featuring Jake Hooker and the Outsiders.

The cost of the meal is $100 per person.

For those who only want to attend the dance, it is $25 for adults and $15 for those under 18.
