The Western Oklahoma Family Care Center will be honoring the Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week from Nov. 17th through Nov. 24th, by helping the homeless by giving unapologetically.
Together, homelessness and hunger can be combated with donations of non-perishable goods, bottled water, waterproof gloves, light-weight tents, and blankets. One hundred percent of the donations will go directly to help the homeless community and day shelter located at the WOFCC building.
“Did you know that over 580,000 people experience homelessness on any given night in the U.S.? And one in eight Americans struggle with hunger? Let’s come together to raise awareness and support those in need. Join us in our mission to advocate for change and compassion in our community. Share your thoughts, volunteer, or donate to help make a difference,” WOFCC posted on their social media.
To find out more about the needs or to donate, call 580-225-5500, email [email protected], or stop by 609 W E Ave. in Elk City.
