A 34-year-old Elk City man has been released from jail after being charged with threatening violence, resisting arrest and disturbing the peace.
The investigation began at approximately 4:40 am on October 9 when Elk City Police were called in reference to someone reportedly banging on a door.
Upon arrival, the police could reportedly hear the “loud banging and yelling.”
The reporting officer recognized the man who was allegedly banging on a door.
The man was identified as Sebastian Garza Ramos.
Ramos reportedly stated that he had been released from jail in Clinton and had walked from Clinton to this Elk City residence.
The officer wrote that he attempted to de-escalate and also reportedly advised Ramos on how to seek an attorney over civil matters related to property disputes.
Ramos allegedly made threats against one of the residents of the home.
Ramos reportedly was warned that threats he was allegedly making could lead to charges, but the officer wrote that ECPD didn’t wish to do that at that point.
Ramos was reportedly asked to leave the property but refused.
An officer attempted then to arrest Ramos, but Ramos reportedly wrapped his arm around the torso of an officer while resisting.
Ramos allegedly pushed the offi cer over a flower bed.
Then after a brief altercation, Ramos was then taken into custody.
