A 55-year-old Sweetwater man has been released from the Beckham County Detention Center for one count of domestic abuse.
The investigation began at approximately 5:01 pm on October 7 when the Elk City Police were called to the 400 block of West 6th Street in reference to a report that stated a female reportedly yelling “Stop.”
The officer arrived on the scene and reportedly heard a man and woman speaking at “high volume” inside a travel trailer. The man was identified as Samuel Andrew Osborn.
He allegedly admitted to arguing with the female, but reportedly claimed nothing physical occurred.
When a second officer spoke with the reported other party allegedly involved, her report matched Osborn’s story, initially.
However, she reportedly later admitted that Osborn had become jealous and allegedly assaulted her.
The officer reportedly observed injuries on the alleged victim. The alleged victim had not drawn attention to these injuries, the report states, but the officer could see them on his own.
