Practicing on sample ballots has been a long tradition for many Beckham County voters. Seeing exactly how an upcoming election’s ballot will look, allows citizens to familiarize themselves with the ballot they will actually see when they step into the voter’s booth.
Seeing the sample ballot also lets voters know exactly what offices are up for grabs, including possible judges’ seats or state questions.
This is something that Beckham County Election Board Secretary Sherron Manning knows all too well.
For that reason, her office released the sample ballot for the upcoming November 5 election this week.
Beckham County voters will also have access to early voting and mail-in voting.
Manning said that early voting will be October 30 to November 2.
“On Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, it will be from 8 am to 6 pm,” Manning said. “That Saturday, it will be from 8 am to 2 pm. This will be at the Beckham County Activity Center in Sayre.”
Voters may also request a main-in ballot until October 21.
