A 69-year-old Wheeler, Texas, man is being held on a $10,000 bond after being charged on September 23 in the Beckham County District Court for misdemeanor charges of improper left turn and driving without a license and felony charges of false representation, fugitive from justice and obstructing an officer.
The investigation began on September 20 when an Elk City Police Department officer observed a Texas vehicle in front of him.
The officer allegedly saw the car make an illegal turn and began a traffic stop.
Jeffrey Andrew Montgomery reportedly gave a fake name and allegedly had used other fake names.
Pokeman cards that were allegedly stolen were also found. Montgomery also allegedly “passively resisted.”
