Fall finally arrives this weekend on Sunday, 9/22! Now, if we can just to get out of the upper 80’s and 90’s! I am so over summer!
Get ready as this next weekend, the City of Erick sponsored 2024 Purple People Eater Fest will be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 9/27-9/29. Wooley’s Bazaar begins on Friday from 3:00-6:00 p.m. and on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Indoor and outdoor spaces are available but indoor is limited. Forms to sign up are at City Hall, or online, so contact City Hall for that. Movie night, showing Monster’s Inc., will be on Friday, 9/27, beginning at 8:00 p.m. On Saturday night, Sheb’s Shindig will start at 8:00 p.m. and continue until 12:00 a.m., featuring the Jimmy Lee Jordan Band. The first ever Purple Pageant 2024 for kids 0-18, but still enrolled in school. The Purple King, Purple Queen and Purple Princess will be announced at Sheb’s Shindig on Saturday, 9/28. They were also accepting entries for the parade at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, 9/28. Entries can be floats, vehicles, bands, animals, tractors, or even walking and bicycles. Madison Oren is celebrating with a small grand opening of her new salon, Mane Street Salon, here in Erick on Wednesday, 9/25/24, from 10:00 a.m.4:00 p.m. that day. She invites everyone in to see the salon, and see the services offered and book appointments! We hated to see Tonya Tidmore go, but her salon lives on in new hands! Congratulations Madison!
