With Cooper On The Mound, Elk City Varsity Elks Shuts Out Dickson Varsity Comets

Cooper Church threw a shutout to lead Elk City Varsity Elks past Dickson Varsity Comets 16-0 on Thursday.

Elk City Varsity Elks secured the victory thanks to nine runs in the second inning. Rylee Boyd, Kaden Holder, Kye Keyes, Kash Mayfield, Collin Church, and Wyatt McConnell powered the big inning with RBIs.

Elk City Varsity Elks got things moving in the first inning. Church grounded out into a double play but still was able to knock in one run.

Elk City Varsity Elks notched nine runs in the second inning. Elk City Varsity Elks offense in the inning was led by Boyd, Holder, Keyes, Mayfield, Church, and McConnell, all knocking in runs in the inning.

A single by Dyllon Vandermay in the first inning was a positive for Dickson Varsity Comets.

Church took the win for Elk City Varsity Elks. Church lasted four innings, allowing three hits and zero runs while striking out six and walking zero.

Cade Mckeown was on the mound for Dickson Varsity Comets. The righthander allowed 12 hits and 16 runs over four innings.

Elk City Varsity Elks socked one home run on the day. Mayfield had a long ball in the fourth inning.

Elk City Varsity Elks had 12 hits in the game. Keyes, Mayfield, Holder, and Aiden Hopper each collected multiple hits for Elk City Varsity Elks. Hopper, Holder, Mayfield, and Keyes each managed two hits to lead Elk City Varsity Elks.
