With Catch On The Mound, Elk City Varsity Elks Shuts Out Dickson Varsity Comets

Catch Geno threw a shutout to lead Elk City Varsity Elks past Dickson Varsity Comets 11-0 on Thursday.

Elk City Varsity Elks secured the victory thanks to seven runs in the first inning. The rally was led by triples by Geno and Kaden Holder, a single by Cale Poole, and an error on a ball put in play by Aiden Hopper.

Elk City Varsity Elks got on the board in the first inning. An error scored one run for Elk City Varsity Elks.

A single by Kaedon Allen in the fourth inning was a positive for Dickson Varsity Comets.

Geno was on the mound for Elk City Varsity Elks. The righty lasted four innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out six.

Dajuan Williams started the game for Dickson Varsity Comets. The righthander lasted two-thirds of an inning, allowing two hits and seven runs while striking out one. Jakob Holbrook and Zeke Hudson entered the game as relief, throwing one and one-third innings and one inning respectively.

Max Trotter, Cole Buie, Geno, Holder, Poole, and Kye Keyes all had one hit to lead Elk City Varsity Elks. Elk City Varsity Elks didn’t commit a single error in the field. Poole had the most chances in the field with six.
