The Elk City Elkettes fall softball squad met up with the Clinton Lady Reds on Tuesday and brought home an I-40 victory.
The ladies in brown bested Clinton, 8-1.
Aubrie Pogue was a star on the pitcher’s mound with a stunning 18 strikeouts. She allowed three hits and one run. She had no walks in the seven innings she was in the circle.
Brenyn Ball gave a big effort at the plate, going four for four. She homered in the sixth inning.
Jace Baker and Reagan Hulan also contributed to Elkette victory. Baker hit a double that scored on one and Hulen smacked a center-field homerun that brought in her and a teammate.
