The funeral service for Merritt High School senior Da’Joyis Jones has been scheduled for Monday at 2 pm at the Merritt High School gym. Following Jones’ death, a multitude of social media posts have been shared locally highlighting her bubbly personality, her remarkable smiles and dimples, and her kindness for others.
In addition to being a standout student, Jones was employed at Pedro’s Mexican Restaurant.
Meal trains and a GoFundMe have been established for her family, as has an account at Great Plains Bank.
Grief counselors have been provided by Merritt High School and surrounding schools for students and friends.
Services are being provided by Whinery.
