Erick man held on $100k bond for child porn charge

A 22-year-old Erick man is being held on a $100,000 bond in the Beckham County Detention Center after being charged with possession of child pornography and a violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act.

The investigation against Samuel Walker began on May 21 when the Elk City Police Department received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

According to the tip, a computer user in the area had shared allegedly child pornography on April 27.

The ECPD detective was able to find a seven second video that allegedly showed a female believed to be 8-10 years old in a state of undress.

The face of the child was alleged visible.

Through records from Verizon Wireless, Walker was reportedly shown to own the phone number used to share this video.

The investigation reportedly led to other images and videos of alleged children.

One was reportedly of a child between the ages of 1 to 2 years old.

Details are not being released in the Beckham County Record due to sensitivy for the alleged victims, but the detective included them in his report.
