The Elk City Elkettes won another I-40 battle on the softball field on Tuesday, besting the El Reno Lady Indians 6-2.
Blakely Ball got the Elkettes up at the top of the first inning with a single that scored two runs. Brynn Ball followed up with a triple that put one over the plate, and Claire Edwards ended out the rally with a single that put one run on the board.
The Elkettes never looked back.
Aubrie Pogue got the win for the Elkettes on the mound. She only gave up five hits and two runs over four innings.
She retired four runners with strike-outs and didn’t walk a single batter.
