Two great Beckham County junior high softball teams had their first meeting of the 2024 Fall season on August 15.
The Merritt Junior Oilrettes fell a little short to the Lady Eagles, 5-0, on their home field.
The Lady Eagles scored in the first inning on an error.
The Lady Eagles batted in three more runs in the top of the third inning with Paisen Damron batting one in on her triple. Serenity Weygand answered with a homerun, scoring two runs.
Touchstone and Krueger had the top Merritt bats.
