Everyone is invited to attend a reception honoring Bro. Charlie Floyd for his 40th Anniversary as pastor at Texola Baptist Church. The reception will be held on Sunday, September 8th, from 2:00-4:00 p.m.at the Erick Community Center, 103 W 2nd Street.
Keep in mind that the City of Erick sponsored 2024 Purple People Eater Fest will be coming in September. They are planning a parade, flea market, movie night, street dance and a pancake breakfast to celebrate. I need to gather more details as far as times etc.., but I do know that they are accepting entries for the parade at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, 9/28. Entries can be floats, vehicles, bands, animals, tractors, or even walking and bicycles. Call City Hall at 580-5263924 for more details.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Gene Miller. Services were held on Thursday, 8/22, at the Erick First Baptist Church. He was a member of the Sweetwater High School Class of 1973.
Sympathy and prayers also go to the family of Cordelia Jane Gipson Skinner. She was a member of the Texola High School Class of 1955. Services were held Friday, 8/23, at the St. Paul United Methodist Church in Pampa.
Happy Anniversary wishes to Tony and Susan Sanderson, who will be celebrating on 8/31 & to Gary & Paula Harris on 9/ 5.
