The Sayre Junior High Lady Eagles started their season off on the right foot with a 8-3 win over the Mangum Lady Tigers.
Mangum scored first in the first inning, but would not outdo the Sayre girls.
At the bottom of the second, the Lady Eagles answered with seven runs.
Kinley Hickey’s walk brought two runners in over the plate.
The third inning saw Ember Holland bring the score to 8-3.
Hickey got the win at the plate for the Eagles. She and Bella Silk were impressive at running the bases.
