A 24-year-old Elk City man has been charged with lewd or lascivious behavior to a child under 16 when the accused is more than 3 years older. The investigation began on July 18 when an Elk City Police Department patrolman requested assistance from a detective on a possible assault. Through the course of the investigation, the detective allegedly learned that Michael Renfro had touched an underage child in ways and in places that were criminal.
Renfro is being held in the Beckham County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond.
