The third annual Beckham County Resource Fair will take place Friday, July 26th, at the Arrowhead Center. It will begin at 10 a.m., and end at 2 p.m. According to Western Oklahoma Family Care Center’s Executive Director, Liberty McArthur, there are around 50 vendors. This is the most they have had during the event.
Individuals and families can visit the booths of local resources. Each one provides different services and information about area resources that may help families. Students will be eligible to get a free back-to-school haircut by local volunteer licensed hair stylist.
Door prizes will be given away throughout the event, and students registered with Project Backpack can pick up their backpacks and school supplies. The Way Church will also be giving away free school supplies for those who register in advance. The pickup will take place July 28th, at the Way Church, on Sunday Funday event. Pre-K through 12th grades from Elk City or Merritt School districts are eligible for this free giveaway.
