Merritt High School announces partners for 2024-2025 intern program

High school seniors often face uncertainty when selecting a future career. After all, they are selecting a profession that often will be with them for forty years or more — double the years that they have been alive.

To assist its seniors in discovering new possibilities and getting handson experience to see how well-suited that potential job could be for them individually, Merritt High School has an intern program.

Through this, students are able to pair with local businesses and professionals to get an up close look.

The students get to go behind-thescenes. The school also hopes this helps students consider options that they previously may not have.

MHS recently announced its 20242025 partners in this program.

They are Impac Exploration Services, Dr. Mouse, Dr. Robinson, Dr. Lisa Walker, Elk City Chamber of Commerce, Great Plains Regional Medical Center, Circle A Western Wear, Physical Therapy Central, Bobby’s Automotive and Equipment Repair, The Depot Trading Company, Smart Oilfield Solutions, and Merritt School.

Merritt credits these partners for making the program possible.
