Foss Lake Christmas In July Festival set for July 12 & 13

Come help salute Veterans, Military and First Responders

The 34th annual Foss Lake Christmas in July Festival is planned for Friday and Saturday, July 12 & 13. There will be many activities for families to enjoy at this year’s festival and parking is free throughout the weekend. Vendors will open at 1 PM on Friday with lots of food, jewelry, clothing and crafts.

Altus AFB Color Guard will present the colors at 6 PM on Friday to start the special time where the Veterans, Military and First Responders will be honored. Colonel Tom Ivester, retired, will be the Keynote speaker. Refreshments for the veterans, their families and the first responders will be at the Cedar Point pavilion following the program.

Bring your lawn chairs, enjoy the evening, as the celebration continues from 8 to 11 PM with a free concert by the Dean Jackson Band.

Saturday starts early with the 5K Run for Fun Across the Dam. Check-in begins at 6:15 AM. E-mail [email protected] for registration information.

Next on the agenda is the Disc Golf Doubles on Cedar Point. For those interested in participating, call Zak at 580374-5151 to register.

Bring your Kayak and meet at 9:30 AM for the 10 AM Kayak “Trail Ride at Chinaberry.”

The Foss Lake Little King and Queen Pageant will take place at 10:30 AM in the main stage area on Cedar Point. Contact Stephanie Edney at 580-243-7868 or go to www. FossLakeChristmasinJuly.com for details and an entry form.

The “Duct Tape Boat Races,” organized by the state park, will be held at 2 PM at Chinaberry. Participants should arrive by 1:30 PM. Individuals who want to join the event may enter through the state park.

The festival will come to a close Saturday evening at dark with a spectacular fireworks show which is synchronized to music and broadcast on KECO 96.5.

Remember, there will be free parking during the event. Take the family out and enjoy the weekend at this year’s Foss Lake Christmas in July Festival.
