Each year, Trinity Fellowship of Sayre holds their version of church camp, coined the Camp of Champions.
However, Trinity’s has a small twist — it is also a rodeo how-to.
The church has a strong background in the rodeo sport.
Pastor Andy Taylor spent years rodeoing professionally as a bull rider. Taylor’s children have all rodeoed.
Associate Pastor Darryle Perry also has a rodeo background. His son has been as well.
Cody Custer assisted with the camp. He is the 1992 PRCA World Champion, a Coors Showdown National Champion, and three-time Dodge Circuit Finals National Champion.
Young campers have a nice bunkhouse for their nightly rest and meals prepared on site.
