A 45-year-old Elk City man has been released from the Beckham County Detention Center on a $5,000 bond after being charged with false declaration in pawn, pattern of criminal offenses, and two counts of embezzlement.

If convicted, Robert Neely faced up to five years in prison.

The charges were filed on June 17 in the Beckham County District Court, but the probable cause affidavit shows that the alleged crimes occurred between June 1, 2023, and April 24, 2024.

Neely allegedly deprived Red Rider Services of property valued at no less than $4,853.66 to allegedly purchase pills.

Additionally, Neely allegedly deprived Beck’s Forklift Services of property valued at no less than $200.

Red Rider Services reported the crimes on April 23, 2024.

The reporting party alleged that Neely, a previous employee, had broken into his shop and several items had gone missing.

The ECPD were able to locate Neely.

Within his vehicle, they reportedly found a pawn ticket.

The ticket allegedly was for some of the items that had been reported stolen from Red Rider Services.

The detective then visited the pawn shop and reportedly found fifteen total pawn tickets for Neely.

On May 3, 2024, the ECPD was contacted by Beck Forklift Services. Neely was a current employee at the time.

The reporting party for that call also believed Neely had stolen property from him.

The detective then later spoke with Neely who reportedly admitted to taking some of these items.
