Trojanette pitcher shuts out FGFS

Emily Cantwell threw a gem on Thursday for Canute Varsity Trojanettes, allowing zero runs and besting FGFS HS Softball by a score of 6-0 Canute Varsity Trojanettes secured the victory thanks to four runs in the third inning. Canute Varsity Trojanettesā€™s big inning was driven by a single by Jade Gray, a sacrifice fly by Cantwell, and a double by Taylor Polensky.

In the second inning, Canute Varsity Trojanettes got their offense started. Destiny Jackson drew a walk, scoring one run.

Canute Varsity Trojanettes notched four runs in the third inning. The offensive onslaught came from a single by Gray, a sacrifice fly by Cantwell, and a double by Polensky.

A single by Harlie Williams in the first inning was a positive for FGFS HS Softball.

Cantwell was the winning pitcher for Canute Varsity Trojanettes. The righty went seven innings, allowing zero runs on two hits and walking zero.

Kyrah Vaughan toed the rubber for FGFS HS Softball. The righty allowed 11 hits and six runs over six innings.

Canute Varsity Trojanettes collected 11 hits on the day. Polensky, Gray, and Madison Church each managed multiple hits for Canute Varsity Trojanettes. Church, Gray, and Polensky each collected two hits to lead Canute Varsity Trojanettes. Canute Varsity Trojanettes was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Jackson had the most chances in the field with six.
