Sayre man charged with pointing firearm, threatening violence

A 64-year-old Sayre man has been released from the Beckham County Detention Center after being charged with planning an act of violence, feloniously pointing a firearm, and threatening to perform an act of violence. If convicted, Kevin Ray Powers will face up to ten years in prison. The investigation reportedly began on May 11 when the Sayre Police were called to the 800 block of North Second Street.

A dispute involving Powers and two others was involved.

During this, Powers allegedly pulled a gun.
