A 23-year-old man has been released from the Beckham County Detention Center after being charged with obstructing an officer and concealing proceeds from illegal drug activity. Ahmed Omer Abdalla reportedly told Oklahoma Highway Patrol officers that he was a varsity coach in Virginia but in Oklahoma for a drug paraphernalia charge in Oklahoma County during a routine traffic stop on May 21.

The stop was at the 38-mile marker on I-40.

The troopers felt they had probable cause to search the vehicle after allegedly smelling marijuana.

The affidavit states a “large amount of USC” was located.

USC is United States Currency. The amount found was reportedly $19,150.

Abdalla allegedly became irritated, reportedly saying, “You’re going to have to shoot me today.”
