Route 66 holds a special place not only in Erick's history, but American history, symbolizing the spirit of adventure, freedom and the open road.
By preserving and revitalizing this piece of history recognized in the National Register of Historic Places, the community honors its roots and showcases its commitment to preserving the legacy of the Mother Road. This sign will become a tangible link to the bygone era when Route 66 was a bustling highway connecting communities across the nation.
