An Elk City woman is being held in the Beckham County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond after being charged with child neglect and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The investigation reportedly began on February 7 after an Elk City Police Department school resource officer executed a search warrant on the residence of Whitney Chantel Bagby.
During the search, the officer reportedly discovered methamphe t amine and drug paraphernalia.
Bagby allegedly admitted that the room that these items were discovered in was her bedroom.
“These items were found on the floor, in the corner of her bedroom openly accessible by the minor children living inside the residence,” the officer wrote.
