The 4-H has long been established in Beckham County. For generations, America’s largest youth organization has passed its community emphasis to Sayre’s children.

With the motto of “head, heart, hands, and health,” the group focuses on every element of agriculture and how that benefits lives locally.

Last week, students involved in Sayre’s 4-H Club demonstrated that by plant- ing flowers at the Beckham County Courthouse.

Multiple employees of the courthouse told the Beckham County Record that the children made a noticeable improvement to the outside of the courthouse.

“We appreciate their hard work,” said Beckham County Court Clerk Donna Howell. “The kids worked hard, and you can see that in their eorts. The flowers are beau tiful.”
