The most important task we have as parents and members of society is equipping our children for life after graduation. A group of concerned citizens established the Sayre Public School Foundation in 1992 as a non-profit promoting quality education.
The Foundation awards grants to teachers and financially finds avenues to support special programs such as the successful Robotics program.
This school year we had grant applications totaling over $90,000. The foundation uses interest money from their endowment to fund the grants. Therefore,grants awarded for the 2023-24 school year totaled approximately $37,000. To date the Foundation has awarded approximately $1,000,00 in grants and special programs.
A few upcoming events sponsored by the SPSF are the peach sales and the The Knowledge Open Golf Tournament which was established to help fund the Robotic program.
The success of the SPSF would not be possible without your financial contributions. Who wants to tell a teacher “We can’t help you this year” when they are truly fighting to provide for the next generation. The Sayre Public School Foundation has an attainable goal of being a million dollar non-profit Foundation. This is a major accomplishment for a school the size of Sayre.
